Flat barren

Actually, the view of rain in the desert is quite nice.
So it doesn't matter if the land is flat barren or filled with flat grass and no trees, the view or place will look beautiful at some point. =)

Summer time

The first time, I travelled overseas, I only anticipated seeing big sized hotel buildings and staying in them while on vacation. But you know what, it means paying more $$. Not everyone can afford to pay so much for staying in a five star hotels. Some more, you cannot cook. I bet they count per head. So when I found out that there are such things as holiday home and cheaper, I was excited. It was like staying in a normal house. Some more, you can cook your own food. Now isn't that cheaper? I bet the prices of the houses per night are cheaper too.

Ok, back to my point, I was thinking of going for summer holidays in the Wales. It's somewhere where I have not been to. It will definitely be a blast. Seeing that I have got a budget, I shall stay in Wales Holiday Cottage. I should think that it is something like holiday home, only on a different word/name.
Oh, but I should go in a large group. Hmm.. Maybe I can ask a bunch of friends or shall I ask my cousins instead, since one of them will be in England soon enough. Hehe...

Get ready to camp

I went shopping with my friends on Saturday. We weren’t spending like crazy, trust me. I only wanted to get my field trip gears.

Wow, there were a lot of sales on things. I was really tempted to buy but I stopped myself. I only bought the things I really needed. Pyjamas were one of them. Mum suggested wearing a track pants to sleep when I go for my field trip.

I will update about the trip right after I come back.

Flying back

That was the first I sat on business and boy, it was so fun and so comfortable. I slept so well like I was sleeping on a still bed. I do hope to sit in the business class again in the future on emirates. By the way, I got to eat lots and drink lots of soft drink in the lounge. I even use the internet to chat to my flatmate and cousin before I board the plane.

Travel things you like to know

So, you like travelling to new places to see wonders of the cities? Before this, travellers are probably sceptical about the places they are going to visit. I mean, who won’t be. I travel too and I would like to know what is there before I go to the places. Example, when I went to Milan, I expected to see spectacular views of the places, it turned out it weren’t what I expected. There were lots of vandalised walls, the underground trains were mostly vandalised as well. Definitely it is not what I expected. I think I expected too much. You should have my face when I saw those vandalised things.

Sigh, anyway, back to the topic. So you can read whatever was reviewed on travelling on The Innovative Traveller. There are reviews on telling you on lost luggage if you do lose yours. Or a review on how to deal with motion sickness if you have any. Now, don’t you think it is really good?

Maybe you would even like more to know about the secret lives of travellers. You would want to know where they have gone and what they have been doing, right? How about knowing where the entire lost luggage goes? You would be wondering if no one came to claim their lost luggage. If it is me, I would want to know.

Anyway, for short, the innovative traveller is definitely an exciting new travel resource for compulsive and curious travellers. They do cover a lot of topics which curious travellers would definitely read. Oh by the way, do you want to read a review on someone learning from people who lives in airport? I do because sometimes I wonder if people working in airports do stay there more than 12 hours. It is almost like living there because they work for more than 12 hours.

It's a lesson

Look at what happen to these umbrellas when my cousin and I took them out on a rainy, windy day? It’s a lesson to be remembered. Really, sometimes I think I don’t learn anything because I still bring umbrellas out though the wind is really strong.

Fabulous

Normally when you stay in a hotel, you don’t really book a really fabulous hotel like this.

When I walked into this room in Milan, I was just so surprised that JY cousin booked a really nice hotel room for all of us. There are two rooms but the layout of both rooms is different. Unfortunately I didn’t get the other one. I didn’t change my phone’s time when I arrived in Milan but I changed my watch’s time. So, I set my alarm at 6.30am the next morning for breakfast. But half an hour before alarm, JY cousin called to ask if we were awake. I answered him, ‘But it’s not 6.30am’ and immediately realised that I forgot to change the time on my phone. *grinning sheepishly

Stonehenge

So, I didn’t blog much here since my cousins were here. I followed one cousin of mine to Stonehenge. It was nice to see those stones, it wasn’t just stones, and it is the world’s heritage. Taking the stone’s photo from an angle makes it so amazing. Just look at it makes your mouth gap in awe.

It is just such a wonderful view, isn't it?

I just got an inspiration to talk about airlines after reading my cousin’s blog. She talked about which airlines she thinks it’s the best. So, we both think that Emirates is the best.

my personal opinion - Emirates is one of the best airline company…the toilet is clean to start with. I’ve been on to Qatar Air, Uzbez Air, Emirates, British Airways…and the best must go to Emirates! The airport is already better than any…..of Singapore airport, which I transit in last summer, is even better! aha…it’s spacious and has enough resting place for those that are transiting.

That is her opinion, now it’s my turn. I like to think it is because of the comfy-ness of the seat. When you are travelling almost half way around the world, you would definitely pick the airlines which has comfortable seat, not forgetting the route availability and when you are travelling by yourself most of the time. I think I am like a mute when I am on board. I don’t talk, not even when they ask me what I want to eat. I just took off my earphone and nod to whatever the air stewardess said they have.

I don’t really care about the toilets because I think all the toilets look the same and whether it’s clean or not, I am only there for a while. How about the airports? Hmm, I hate transiting in a foreign airport but what to do? I need to transit to be able to go to my destination.

Hotel to Reserve

It sure is interesting to travel around Europe. One of the country which I would want to go is Spain. I have only less than one month time left to spend in UK so I should so travel to this place. I think I can find cheap flights easily but where can I find last minute hotel booking?
Ah.. now this is the answer. CheaperthanHotels.co.uk to the rescue. Now I don't have to worry about booking last minute deals on Spain hotels.

Or maybe I should give my parents a chance for them to go on holidays by themselves. Valentine Day is coming soon and they should spend a romantic holiday in Spain. I don't think they have been to Spain so this is definitely a good chance for them to go without my sisters and me tagging along. Hehe..

Besides Spain, they could also go to Mallorca. It is one of the largest island of Spain, located in the Mediterranean Sea and part of the Balearic Islands. The island is a popular tourist attraction. Island places are certainly very beautiful and they could just sit by the beach all day. :) There are also good deals on Mallorca Hotels. There are also good hotel deals on Lanzorote Hotels and Menorca Hotels. Lanzorote is the easternmost of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, which is approximately 125km off the coast of Africa. One of the main features there are the beaches. I think I would definitely like to go because there are water activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, parasailing and canoeing.

The main tourist ares are on the southern and eastern coast but places may be crowded in high season. The more secluded and quiet beaches can be found on the island but the route to go there is probably difficult and there are also minimal parking. Hmm.. I should start planning now.
