Guilty

I feel guilty for not updating here much. I checked the dashboard regularly though I don't blog much here. I have got 5 followers here. Stalkers.. muahaha..

Actually, I am one myself as I do stalk other people's blog. Once in a while though. I finally found some time to browse around. Things have got a little free with the report out of the way. Apparently I only need a day to finish one assignment so that's alright. I have got this other exercise which requires me to look into the microscope and draw the texture of the minerals and then describing the minerals and how they form, in not more than one page per mineral. I did one draft yesterday and I have another 3 more to go. It's not due till 1st of May.

I should probably go do some study for my test coming up this Thursday instead of blogging here.

Stress

My cousin commented that I lost weight in one of my photos. Well, it is really wonderful to hear that. At least I went to the gym for something. I am going to the gym again this afternoon. A friend told me of a class at the gym and this is free. So my flatmate mentioned that we should go. Yea, at least we can use the free classes that they give. Not only am I exercising, I am keeping fit. It is better to keep fit and healthy. I am slowly losing the fat in the tummy too.

I just finished my assignment which is due today. I will be going off to uni in a moment to print it off and hand it in. Then, I will do some readings on R programme and go through my lab notes for a lab test in early April.

My flatmate came to my room just now and was listing out her assessments coming up. I thought she was really busy. I have less assessment but my assessments are worth more though. Actually, I should have taken 5 papers this semester but I didn’t want to make myself too stress. I know I will lose even more hairs if I make myself stress too much. My flatmate is already complaining that she sees a lot of hairs in the bathroom and there are only two of us using that bathroom. And yes, I can see a lot of hairs too.

Rewarding self

Know what? I just realised there are so many good movies coming out. I can't wait to watch them but really, watching them in the cinemas would definitely cost me a lot. But really there are so many. I could have a long list if I do have time to think about it. But my friends and I have decide to watch at least once a month in the cinema. It is also to reward ourselves after a month long of study. Some of us are in third year and some in the second year and study is getting complicated. Timetables are from early mornings till evenings. So, we thought of rewarding ourselves with watching movies. Currently we have planned to watch the old Pride and Prejudice, it is a 6-hour non stop movie. We are planning for a perfect timing as most of us has weird timetables. Some finishes early afternoons and some late afternoons. So all the best to friends!

Confusing

Clubs day is always a good time to meet new people. I looked after ICF and got to meet some people who said they want to meet new people. Quite fun actually. I won't forget studies. I think I need to focus really hard this year. I was in one of my stats classes yesterday and it was so much harder than previous year. It's also because it is like the final year before you finishes your degree. Aah.. that is really scary. There's my geology lab which was quite confusing as all the topics are new. Of course, I would have to know the basic of the rocks. Sigh.. anyway, I think I need to go now as I got hair appointment.

Writing done

I am starting new papers of second level geology this year. Actually, you do have to write essays for geology and that is where I thought that A-pluss comes in. They can help me to do some custom writing because I always find it hard to think of one particular topic to write for a question essay.
Maybe A-pluss can help me for my whole term paper writing. I mean, I know it's not that hard to write one essay, it is just that sometimes I don't know what else to write and what other information I should add in. Whatever assignment, they will sure help you with your term paper topic. A-pluss is actually a professional writing, editing and proofreading service. So, I think I might want to go for it as I can refer those written essays when I want to write a new one or even practice writing for my final exams.

Careful

Have been watching crimes investigation programmes at night this week. Though it is scary but you learn something from it. Some programmes are called Snapped: Why Women Killed, Forensic Detectives, Crimes and Punishment, FBI Files, etc. It's interesting to see how they solved the crimes. Sometimes it wasn't solved. One particular crime that I watched last night was about a student being murdered in her own flat/apartment. Just scared at the thought of being home alone. I think the crime scene was around the student campus accommodation. I think the security at university accommodation nowadays should be quite tight. Oh, I did not mention that the particular crime was in 1983. I recalled an rape incident in my university, Canterbury University in 2006 winter. It was just a day before the university holidays started. That night, one of my close friend was walking towards the flat of another close friend along the uni path. She made sure she was walking along bright light areas so we weren't that worried. She also told us that she saw someone walking in the dark in the gym field area. Then, the next day, we heard on the news that there was a rape incident. My friend was so terrified, it could have been her if she did decided to walk in that dark area. After that, my friends and I made sure that all of us walked her back home together at night. It's scary at the thought of near rape incident of my friend.

Anyway, I was talking about university accommodation security. It think it's quite good at the place I stayed in 2007. There were lights everywhere and there are resident assistants walking around at night. And if I were to walk to uni or anywhere at night, I am sure that any of my friends would accompany me so there wasn't a need to be scared. Hehe.. :P But to all student, just be careful wherever you go. Always take a friend if you think someone is stalking you.

Loans

I have seen quite few loans offered by bank or even government. Here, Inland Revenue offers students student loan, which sounds like a very good loan to students. I mean, which student is rich enough to have his or her own income. Even if they are working, the income probably don’t cover a lot of expenses.

If you're looking to get a new car before you start working or just starting a family and you want to buy a house for your family, there is personal loan, new car loan or home loan, etc. If you want to buy a completely new house, you would need loan unless you’re very rich.

Anyway, I like student loan type. I could always loan to pay for my fees, and I can also get student allowance since I live in New Zealand. This would definitely help me financially. Of course I wouldn’t want to get into debt so I have to budget and also don’t get the loan too much.

Cheap loans

For those of you staying outside New Zealand and would like to know more about cheap loans, I am sure that you find information within unsecured loans and homeowners loans. You can also compare cheap loans as well.

Nightmare

I had a dream today, I dreamt that I went on a holiday with my friends somewhere and all of a sudden, I got a call from mum, asking me where am I. As I don't like to lie to mum, I would normally tell the truth (if she doesn't ask, I won't tell, but if she ask, I would have to tell) so I told her that I was at the airport, going on holiday. Then, the voice from the phone said, 'Ok, you're not getting your car.' I panicked and told my friends that mum is not buying a car for me. Aih.. Then, I woke up.
Why in the world did I dream like that? Maybe I was scared as mum told me that if my results aren't good, no car for me. Well, I don't mind not having a car as most of my friends have cars. I figure I could ask for rides and give them money to pay for petrol. That is what I am doing now anyway. I just gave a $10 petrol voucher to a friend yesterday when she came to pick me up for work.
Then, I thought, oh no, I might actually need the car next year because I don't think I can do my assignments at home since I am moving out from university accommodation soon. From where I am staying now, I can connect to university network to the matlab computer rooms to do my assignments just from the comfort of my room. Sigh.. nevermind, the most I can do is just do my work during the day and stay at home at night even if it means that the assignment is due at 5pm the following day. What can I do? I need to use the programmes in uni matlab computer rooms. I don't want to risk walking to uni at night. I mean, it's quite bright when you walking in uni area but I am moving out into a homestay where there's not a lot of light for walking and it takes 25 minutes to walk to my Math & Stat Building. Not the uni itself. I don't need to go to engineering building which is going to be nearer.
Aih.. enough of my crap. There's always going to be some distraction huh. Nevermind, I will just save up my own money to buy a car, don't think it will be in time for next year. It will probably take me few years to collect up for the amount. Then, the car will be for after I graduate. It's only a matter of time anyway.
I will write more about what my friends and relatives opinions' as of the car decision. But I can say now that friends do support the idea of having a car while my relatives said no, you don't need to have a car. I guess you guys will only understand if you are in my situation here.
Maybe the best is stay back in university accommodation.

Results

When my results came out, I was only happy for some of the courses I took. So, I got some advice from friends and family that I should email the lecturer to see if he could go through the test paper with me. I did, I made an appointment to see my lecturer yesterday. He commented that I did really well for my lab test but not very well for my final exams. Then, he mentioned that he was a bit mean when he was marking my exams paper. So, he added a few marks and there for me. After counting everything, my grade was pushed up. I am so happy.
