Volunteering

Looks like I might not be able to blog here that often. My old domain is revived so I will most likely go back to blog there.

Umm.. actually I might try to maintain this blog at times too. It just won't be that many posts compared to that blog.

I have few minutes to spare before I have to get changed and take the clothes in, then go to mall to get something for the sunday school kids, and then off for church service. Am also thinking what I should cook for my turn in the first week of July.

I should help out more because I feel like I should. Well, I want to do something for God, hence why I am trying to help out more. I can't stay longer after service or go early every week though. Can only help out during the service.

Learnt

The first week of holidays really made me relax a lot. Besides the conference I went to, when I lie in bed at night, I thought about what I learnt. I shall list out what I learnt. I may not remember now but I will add in the list from time to time.

  • You don't have to marry just to follow the traditions or because everyone is doing so. From the Bible, God says that if you meet somebody, it is not wrong for you to get married. However, he said that it is better to stay single. That way, you can focus on seeking God's Kingdom 100%.
  • You learn to love from God. He shows His love through the Bible. Read Gen 1.
p/s : I went to Castle Hill yesterday. It was really fun and I will upload photos if I do get them before Wednesday. I will be going for a field trip and a church camp after that so I will be on hiatus after that. =)

Conference

After four days I have been away, I got so many things to catch up on. I went to this conference camp which is like 50 minutes drive away from Christchurch. This conference theme was called Love, Sex and Marriages. Boy, do I learnt a lot from the conference.

It was a full on talks, seminars and workshops on the theme. I was so mentally tired by the third day morning and that time, I had almost a day and half things to go through. I am glad that I did went to this conference. It opens up my eyes about marriages.

I definitely wrote down a lot of notes which I will put up as soon as I am finished with drafting it up. Of course, there were time gaps for us for free time/activities. First day, my friends and I walked down to the river streams. Second and third day were spent on discussion on what we learnt.

Oh, there weren't phone reception there.

Interesting

Did I mentioned that I actually enjoy going to mass on Sunday in the morning and then another service, Mosaic in CCC. Now, they have a network in Facebook. Very interesting, right? It is expanding. I feel like I am part of them. I'd try to ask people to come visit the service. Mosaic has just started in September. That time, I didn't want to go to another service cos it's going to take up my time. But I went anyway for the first service. There weren't a lot of people. I expected the service to be different and long. It is not like what catholic church has. Mosaic has people playing for guitar and keyboard. Sometimes they have people playing drums. Personally, I prefer piano-played songs. It's nicer to listen to.

I am just taking a break from studying. I am seriously hating to study. I have motivation to study but I just don't have the patience to sit down and study anymore. I have another exam tomorrow and another one on Saturday. Wish me luck.

Power

I went to YAG, stands for Young Adult Group and we had discussion about Chapter One in Luke. At the end of the discussion when the group leader asked if we got any questions, a friend asked if she will also feel the same thing as what we have just discussed. I think we discussed about our faith and how if we don't believe that, will God also silence us? Hmm.. well, I think we shouldn't doubt God's power. He will always be there for us no matter what. From my previous post about how God don't answer us immediately, well it's the same. He chooses a moment to tell us. I am sure He has his reasons and I won't judge or ask. I don't think it is right to ask too much. He has given us so much so we shouldn't question too much when He gives us what we have been praying for or wanting something.

Wonderful

After reading about this post from Lynnx01, she was talking about how God answers prayer, personally, I think God answers our prayer immediately but He chooses the right timing to give the answer. I wanted to give example but I don't really know what kind of example I should give. I always feel that God gives me the answer I want to know at the right time He thinks for me.

One more thing, I think I consume too much energy drinks. Am I going to be ok?

Happy

Don't you feel good and happy when you are singing in church?
That is how I feel when I go to church.
Erm.. I meant catholic church.
I find the songs are better.
Now, I go to another church service in another church. Oh, it is not catholic.
Don't worry, I still go to my church mass as well. I think it's ok going for both as long as I am going for my own church mass.
I should really find out what songs I sang in my church back in Lower Hutt, I always like the songs there.
So happy now thinking about it.

Nightmares

Last night I was over at my friend’s flat, hanging out. Then, when we were watching tv, my friend switched the channels and the series was horror. Both my flatmate and I voiced out at the same time, ‘I am sleeping in your room tonight’. It was scary. Then, I told them my story which I experienced it in London. I dreamt that the devil was grabbing my neck. I was so scared and I think I screamed Jesus’s name and woke up immediately. I have no idea what was going on that time but I managed to fall asleep again.

Referring to ofhopeandlove post about nap time, she also talked about how she couldn’t get up from her nap. She said she felt trapped. I read about the comments and some other readers also complained having the same experience. One of the readers said to shout for Jesus’s name. I did before, I realise. I felt so relieved that I did. Actually, I do experience these back in 2005, early 2007 and sometime last month.

My flatmate said probably, this is because the more you rebel to the devil, the more they come to you. But how do you know if it’s true? What other possibility are there?

What more could happen?
